The silent white.

On Saturday the snow invited itself and announced it was staying until further notice. The beauty far outweighs the inconvenience.

Apologies for being a lazy blogger. Here is an abridged and brief photo tour of the last two months to catch you up.

Lemon cake made in the rice cooker. I really wish I had an oven, but this was nearly as delicious! Stay tuned for the recipe.

Attempted felafels.

Carrot cake!

I have beautiful friends.

Just another day at 教育大。#occupationalhealthandsafety?

ゆきちゃん + キノコ

Fireworks in Hakodate.

Can't be compared to Sydney's, but I was still impressed. The atmosphere was newyearseve-esque. Complete with trashy teenagers and tear-streaked mascara. Seeing everyone in yukatas has inspired me to buy one before the year is out.

Yosakoi, a type of Japanese dancing using a combination of traditional moves and modern dance techniques, is very popular in Hakodate.

Can I keep you?

Asahiyama zoo in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Capibara sighting!

Without zoom.

ふらの Furano

Lavender soft serve.

Everyone loves surprise parties.

Jomon Historical Site. Almost as old as Egypt's pyramids.

Hirosaki Castle.

Authentic Indian restaurant in Aomori. Worth for the awkward conversations with the waiters, who were Indian, in Japanese.

Mt Iwaki

東京 walking.

Cat cafe. This is how I felt during my time there.

Mori Art Museum, Roppongi.

Amazing photorealism.

Into the belly of the crab. Only in Hokkaido.
